It's now been over a week since the Swedish Computer Performance Championship ended, and I'm pretty happy about the results. First place in the Price/Performance-category, and second in 3dmark06. My win in Price/Performance was decided by a measly 20 SEK margin to Marquzz who finished second with the same total score as me (50 points). The third place was given to Kinc after the cost of his and Incidos (who ran together with Kriller) systems used in the competition were calculated, as they also were on the same total score (48 points).
This years SCPC showed some changes in participation, as Price/Performance was clearly the most interesting category this year with a total of 9 contestants. The last hours were really nerve-breaking, and not until after 10 minutes I knew who won. Thanks alot to all people who participated to make this as exciting as it was!
For 3dmark06 I was gonna do another run toghether with gubben, but we decided to leave it as it was as we would've had to pay about 4500SEK extra for an Asus Striker Extreme-motherboard and a new PSU from a local computershop. The winner was as expected Kinc with his result being the second best in the world, with only Kingpin being ahead with ~200 points.
Percentual overclocking was dominated by the two brothers, crotale and crusader. Once again Crotale won the championship with over 200% overclock, being his third win in a row, making him historical. Both Kinc and crotale surely are the top notch overclockers in Sweden, and Nordichardware really made a good decision to have them join their organisation.
